Numbers ain’t up to snuff

I want to like numbers. I do. Excel 2004 is weak. Excel 2007 for Windows is nice, but I’ve got to run it virtualized.

It’s very clean. Pretty snappy. But the charts, blech. Few options, and I can’t seem to customize series representation. Let alone multiple Y-axes.

I know that having multiple axes is anti-Tuftian, but I don’t know of a better way to show that trends match up when absolute calibrations can’t be found (i.e. when standard normalization doesn’t work). There’s probably some statistical jargon for this. Anyone?
